Check Before You Click — Privacy Policy

This policy describes the Check Before You Click iPhone/iPad app provided by Baht Kaleb Consulting.

Local checks and screenshot recognition

Message wording checks and website-address analysis run on your device. Screenshot text recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. We do not receive the messages, images, addresses, extracted text or results you submit for a check. No account is required. The app includes no advertising or analytics SDK and does not create a saved check history.

Local temporary data

Inputs and results are held during the current app session. You can use Clear to remove the current input and results. The operating system or photo picker may create temporary local image files. Clearing a check does not delete the original image in your photo library. Normal iOS storage, app-switcher and backup behavior may apply; this app does not provide a secure-erasure guarantee.

Photo and clipboard access

The system photo picker lets you select an image; the app reads the selected image for text recognition. Clipboard access occurs when you tap Paste text or use iOS paste controls. Do not include passwords, verification codes or unnecessary personal details.

Optional external links

The app opens outside help websites only when you choose a link. If you choose the optional Google site-status check and confirm, the app sends the hostname to Google's website. It excludes the address path, query string, screenshot and message text. External websites may receive normal browser information such as your IP address and are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control their collection or retention.

Sharing

If you choose Share warning summary, iOS lets you select the destination. The summary includes warning titles and explanatory text, but excludes your original message. Review anything you choose to share.

Support communications

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, your email address and normal email metadata. We use this information to respond and troubleshoot. Do not email sensitive information. You may contact us about access to or deletion of support correspondence; retention may also be subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.

Changes and contact
